.: Exhaust Systems

There are a few options out there for exhausts and I know it can be confusing understanding what's out there for your car and what you need to get it installed.

To make things a bit easier I'm going to break this down to individual models to make it a bit easier. I'm concentrating on what your options are using available OEM parts. As time progresses I have no doubt most of this will become dated and you'll be able to put what ever you want on your car regardless of model restrictions. Keep in mind that anything is possible if you are willing to spend the money to change your bumper.

If your driving a sedan and just want a single sided exhaust to replace your factory system then there isn't much more to this than going shopping. Only the Avant comes with a dual exhaust from factory (S4 excluded).

If your looking to install a dual exhaust system, you're restricted to a single pipe on each side unless you want to swap out your bumper or can find an aftermarket rear valance that can take dual tips. For now I'll stick to your factory options and part numbers.

So you've picked your exhaust i.e. AWE, Stasis, Eurocode...

So what are you going to need? Double check with the manufacturer to see if your going to need all of these parts. Sometimes a manufacturer will include some or can source them for you.

You need to change out your rear valance and purchase the factory items to install the right hand side muffler.

For S-Line cars replace Rear Lower Valance with 1 x 8K0 807 521 D 1RR

Picture below shows AWE Dual exhaust with the Avant Votex rear Valance.

Dual Outlet Quad Tip Exhaust for S-Series Cars

The reason this option is not available to the regular Sedan and Avant is because the rear bumper is different. The S4 shares the same bumper with the S-Line cars with only the Valance changing. So if you want quad exhaust on your non S-Line, you will either have to change your bumper or find an aftermarket valance that will accept the dual tips.
